Bonjour a tous! How is everyone doing?

Dear Rotary Club of Palgrave,
Bonjour a tous! How is everyone doing? I hope you're all enjoying some warm weather right now! The last time I wrote, I said I was living with my second host family but since then I've moved on and now I'm living with my third. The second family was very "traditionally french" with strict rules (especially table manners) while this family is pretty "American". In my second family, they had three elementary school kids but now I'm living with three other teenagers who love movies, books and junk food just as much as I do. The two families are basically exact opposites!

Last month it snowed in this part of France for the first time in years. It was a really big deal. Everyone was taking pictures of their houses all covered in white and the guys went crazy at school having snowball fights. Some people compared their snow-covered town to "the alpes" because the only time they see so much snow like that is when they go skiing up north in the mountains. My friend thinks they got more snow than they did in Canada, and he's probably right since I heard I didn't snow at all over there!

I'm currently trying to make best of what's left of my 3 last months of exchange. There's still so much on my to-do list and so much more I need to learn. People said I would become "fluent" by the time I leave, but is one year really enough? I guess it won't be long until I make a visit at the Palgrave club in person again!

Until then, a bientot!
Robin.
