President Geno Nelsen, Lu Ann White and Shayne McGaughy worked the Johnston Rotary booth at the Alternative Gift Market held on Saturday, December 1 at St. Paul Presbyterian Church. The Johnston Rotary Club offered Alternative gifts to assist in offsetting Rotary costs for life jackets at Terra Park and Polio Plus, an effort to eradicate polio around the world.
In addition to the Johnston Rotary Club, many worth organizations from the Metro were there offering initiatives that serve mankind. During this event, somewhere between $12,000 and $15,000 are raised for these initiatives.
A special thanks goes out to St. Paul Presbyterian Church for making their facility available and offering refreshments to those attending.
