A few weeks ago during a birthday party held at Terra Park in Johnston, the life jackets available near the fishing pier where put to good use. Several of the children participating in the event where eager to try their hand at fishing but surely had know idea how deep the water was in front of peir. The organizers of the event greatly appreciated the efforts by the Rotary Club of Johnston in making these life jackets available at no cost and right where they were needed. They quickly put them to good use. Everyone had a great time, some fish were caught and the organizers where able to enjoy the event knowing that these children were safe on the pier while giving those fish a run for their money.
