A presentation was made today by the attending four students (Emily Geers, Ana Kingery, Morgan Lee, Marquita Norwood) and counselor (Megan Sockness) that attended the 2019 TOKA Camp in Kosovo. The Johnston Rotary Club financially sponsored these attendees.
The Smokin Heroes cookout at Johnston Green days, organized by Tyler Tompkins and Zach Grandon from the Johnston Police Department, along with Rotarian promoter Jim Hibbs, was the main event that financed the trip. Johnston Rotarians supported these club leaders.
Each student was involved with the presentation today and had some great pictures of the camp activities, as well as the five families that hosted them after the camp concluded. Megan Sockness also gave a short presentation about her involvement and positive comments about the adventure.
