Jacob Simmons from Coralville joined us today as our program presenter. He is the founder and owner of Backpocket Brewery that opened in 2012.
Backpocket is a micro-brewery based out of Coralville who will he opening a taproom in the new Johnston Town Center in October of this year.
Back pocket has a brewery that focuses on distribution and a taproom operation that focuses on opening local restaurants around the state.
They first opened a taproom in Dubuque in 2015. They were approached by the Hansen group during the pandemic about the opportunity coming to Johnston, and saw a fit for the model they run at their taprooms. Back pocket “Pin and Pixel” became the idea.
