Today's speaker was Dr. Allen Stoye, real estate developer of the new Bombers Golf recreation center in Johnston. Allen no longer works as an anesthesiologist and is working full time on this project. The official groundbreaking was set for 9:00 AM April 11th, and Rotarians were invited to attend. The development will include the Bomber Golf facility with 36 hitting bays day one, and capability for expansion to 54 hitting bays in the future. In addition to Bombers golf, the development will include a 96 room hotel, a state of the art arcade and a 16 lane bowling alley, along with development of additional restaurants an shops to make a true family recreation area. In all, 35 acres will be developed in Partnership with the City – a fishing pond, kayak launch and pickleball courts and axe throwing are all parts of the master plan. Total development cost is projected at 100 million dollars. The opening of the Bombers Golf facility is slated for Fall of 2024.
