Doug shared with us his hiking of the Appalachian Trail, a 6 month journey. The Appalachian Trail is the longest foot path trail in the world, starting in Northern Georgia and ending in Maine.
His pictorial from the beginning to the end was most interesting. This is his second time going the entire distance. It is a 6 month journey. 700+ hikers have made it the entire way, about 25% that attempt it make the entire journey. This time, he had some hiking boot problems, lost 6 toe nails and went through 3 sets of hiking boots. He initially started with a size 9.5 hiking boot size and ended with an 11 size boot. He had many stories of the challenges that happen over the 6 month time.
