Today, the Rotary Clubs of Iowa City Downtown and Rotary of Iowa City A.M. came together at the Twin County Produce Auction in Kalona for the first round of our annual produce-buying fundraiser benefiting the CommUnity Food Bank in Iowa City.
Today, the Rotary Clubs of Iowa City Downtown and Rotary of Iowa City A.M. came together at the Twin County Produce Auction in Kalona for the first round of our annual produce-buying fundraiser benefiting the CommUnity Food Bank in Iowa City.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we purchased 2,463 pounds of fresh, locally grown produce, including:
🧅 780 pounds of onions!
🥬 Cabbage
🥒 Cucumbers
🥒 Green zucchini
đź’› Yellow summer squash
🍅 Tomatoes

Fresh produce makes a tremendous difference for the individuals and families served by CommUnity Food Bank. This is just the beginning—we look forward to providing even more fresh produce throughout the summer!
