Jack Cameron introduced the speaker for today, Craig Stadtmueller CEO of Camp Courageous located in Monticello, Iowa. Craig compared the Mission of Camp Courageous to Rotary.  He mother suffered from Polio. 
He formerly worked at Kirkwood with Jack.   Camp Courageous has over 1000 volunteers.  The camp sits on 400 acres of land. The camp serves handicapped children many activities including trip around the US and Internationally
Craig showed two videos one of kids on a zip line.  The Camp offers:  Support for families with disabled children, Respect, Trust and Rest and Peace to the families. They have an activity staff and a dietary staff. They provide arts and crafts, travel programs.  The Rotary Park was dedicated October 3, 2021.  Chris and Vernette Knapp attended this wonderful dedication.   The camp is a wonderful place for handicapped children and their families.

Companion Club March 17th, Rotary Bingo, Vestas 5:00 PM.  Grant Management Seminar March 28th Shive Hattery, West Des Moines, or Hybrid. Rotary Pathways Drake University April 10, 11, 2026. District Conference May 1 2, Hyatt Hotel and Conference Center, Coralville.  Vernette and Chris will match 1 to 1 for lunches for the Interact and Rotaract students that we support from our club. 
John had the pleasure of inducting a new member-Lanaya Ethington.  She is a psychologist in private practice.  Her daughter Imogene is going to Xiotecepec.  
Karen Franklin announced that due to mobility issues that two members have dropped out of MOW.  She would like two members to help.
Tree Planting with be April 25, 2026.
The year-ender, gavel-passing will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. at Beth Belding home 12 Partridge Ct., Iowa City, IA  52240 at 6:00 pm.  There will be no AM meeting that day.
