David Goodner, Co-Director Iowa City Catholic Workers. The Catholic Worker Home was established on July 1, 2016. In 2018 the first refugee family sponsored the first refugee family out of border detention and have not looked back. There are more than 50 refugees are living in the network. The Catholic Worker House completed 927 services between January 1, -May 1,2025. Medical, Community Involvement, Charity, Legal, Case Management, Transportation, English Language Learner.
What are the Ways to Help:
1. Sign up for Mailing List to receive announcements about upcoming events activities and volunteer opportunities.
2. Donate money to help pay our house payments, utilities, food, gas, maintenance, as in ink, paper and other supplies.
3. Volunteer to prepare and serve meals at during our drop-in center and soup kitchen hours.
4. Donate food, paper products and personal toiletry items.
5. Participate in social justice activities.
6. Spread the word for us to speak to your group.

President John called the meeting to order at 7::05 am. John played his banjo. We sang Old Dan Tucker.
Phil Peterson gave and HEF update on the Food Fight. Rotary Club of Iowa City AM 1st place, Downtown, 2nd, Noon 3rd. There is a QR Code to give.
John thanked the Can doers that sorted cans on Saturday. There were 15. We made $429.00.
