Club member Gerry Adams introduced our speaker for the evening, Georgia Plumb.  Georgia is the owner of Rock Steady Boxing, a wellness center that specializes in fighting back against Parkinson’s disease.  Her target clients are people over fifty years old.

Grinnell Rotary met at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, for a meal, meeting and program.  

    The main topic of discussion at the business meeting was planning for Kites Over Grinnell, which will be held Saturday, September 30th, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  This is a family friendly event, and the public is invited come to the Ahrens Complex, and fly a kite.

 

    Club member Gerry Adams introduced our speaker for the evening, Georgia Plumb.  Georgia is the owner of Rock Steady Boxing, a wellness center that specializes in fighting back against Parkinson’s disease.  Her target clients are people over fifty years old.   She mentioned that, as a rule of thumb, a person should exercise approximately 150 minutes per week.   Plumb started out in Council Bluffs, and moved to Grinnell in 2005.  In Grinnell, she worked for the hospital and Mayflower Homes.  After working for others, she decided to branch out on her own.  If you are interested in the services that Georgia Plumb offers, she is located at 615 Horseshoe Drive, Suite E, Grinnell, IA 50112.
