Red Kettle Bell Ringing

Grinnell Rotary Club, also know as Santa's Crew, has helped ring the bells for the Salvation Army at three Grinnell Business for the last four years. Twenty one shifts had to be filled with some Rotarians doubling their shifts and having their kids, wives/husbands and grandchildren there to help ring bells.    90% of collected red kettle funds donated help stay in  Poweshiek County to help local residents.  What a great time watching the people get out of their cars, hear the Salvation Army bell, reach into their pockets and purses, then putting their lose change (and big bills) into the Red Kettle.  

This is a project that benefits all people in Poweshiek County.   During each of the four years Grinnell Rotary has been involved in these tintinnabulations, the shifts filled by Grinnell Rotary members were, by far, the highest contributions to the Salvation Army.  Ring, ring for Rotary!
