Rotarian, Doug Flournoy presents $1553 to Fire Chief, Scott Vaughan, for a water rescue pole that expands to 75 feet and compliments the $5000 given to the Fire Department in 2013 for a rescue boat. January 2014.
The Sheriff's Department Special Assistance Team was given $5000 from the Fairfield Club and $3750 from the Rotary Foundation for radio hands-free body mikes. The radios increase communication skills for high-risk situations in which the same frequency will be shared by Washington County, Sniper Unit, command staff and team members.
