Last week  Melissa Horton from the Altoona Chamber hosted Adam Hammes of the Iowa Sustainable Business Forum.  He serves the Forum as the Executive Director.  Their mission is to connect Iowa businesses to continuously improve practices that positively impact people, planet, and profits.  Adam is the author of "Sustainable Business in Iowa:  How Leading Companies Profit From Environment & Social Responsibility."

This week will be the last in the Chamber series.  Thanks so much to Melissa Horton for providing our speakers this month.  They have all been very informative and helped bring us up to date on what's going on in our community and the surrounding area.  Melissa O'Neil from the Central Iowa Shelter and Services will be our presenter tomorrow.  Please plan to attend,  as this will also be a very interesting program.

Dirk Halupnik will be the Sergeant at Arms.

Important upcoming dates - 2019 Bowling Bash, Friday afternoon, February 22.  This is a very important fund raiser for the Iowa Technology Expo and other community projects.  We would like to fill all the lanes at the Great Escape this year, so start getting your teams together now.
