President’s Remarks
Greetings, our members and friends of RC Kampala North.
Thank you for consistently reading the eKNN. It is our home guide on what is going on at Kampala North, and we appreciate you for keeping abreast with our activities.
“When we stay connected as a club, we strengthen our ability to serve, to give, and to grow together.”
Service and Fundraising Initiatives
We have a number of initiatives currently running at the club. One is the Afro Jazz Fundraising Dinner to support the completion of the dormitory at the SORVP Village Project. Having a dormitory in place will enable us to finally start off the training of youth at the center.
I would like to extend our gratitude to all those who have given to this worthy cause. We request you to push us further by buying a ticket for the event at UGX 300,000 and bringing along a friend. Let us not get tired of giving.
Mengo Blood Bank Project
Beyond that, we are also raising USD 5,000 for the Mengo Blood Bank Project spearheaded by RC Muyenga. I thank all our members who have contributed to this grant. If you haven’t yet contributed to TRF this year, please consider making a contribution to this project. If you have, we pray you will be able to give a little more.
Strategy and Planning
We shall have our Strategy Retreat on 21st March 2026. We use this retreat to calibrate, to assess how far we have gone in achieving our vision, and to agree on what to focus on in the coming year. Let us be there in big numbers.
Club Fellowship and Inductions
Today, we shall have the pleasure of inducting our member Geoffrey Sajjabi. We warmly welcome Rtn Geoffrey to the Kampala North family.
Last but not least, PE Olive Lumonya will be unveiling our leadership team for the next Rotary year. Who wouldn’t want to be part of this exciting event?
See you then: 6:00 PM, Protea Kampala
With gratitude,
Stella Alibateese
President, Rotary Club of Kampala North
