The Kikoni Buddy Group will usher in a new chapter of leadership at the start of the 2026/27 Rotary year when Rtn. Tony Galandi Kiire assumes leadership of the group effective 1 July 2026.

Tony will take over from PP Stephen Ssendi, who has served as Buddy Group Leader during the 2025/26 Rotary year, continuing a tradition of Rotarians stepping forward to strengthen fellowship and member engagement within the club.

Building on a Strong Legacy

The Kikoni Buddy Group has been shaped by a succession of dedicated leaders who have each contributed to its growth and identity. Tony follows in the footsteps of Rtn. Tom Kajumba, Rtn. Sarah Bagalaliwo, Rtn. Priscilla Nakiboneka, and PP Stephen Ssendi, all of whom have helped foster the strong bonds of friendship and support that characterize the group today.

Over the years, the group has served as an important platform for members to connect beyond weekly fellowship meetings, celebrate milestones together, support one another during difficult moments, and strengthen the spirit of Rotary fellowship.

Looking Ahead

As he prepares to take up the mantle, Tony brings enthusiasm, commitment, and a passion for fellowship. Members of the club look forward to his leadership and the fresh energy he will bring to the Kikoni family during the coming Rotary year.

The club also expresses its sincere appreciation to PP Stephen Ssendi for his stewardship and dedication over the past year and thanks all previous leaders whose contributions have helped make Kikoni one of the club's vibrant buddy group.
