Our first KNN for the Rotary year 2025/26 is out! Hooray! How excited I am, that we get to yet again document or share what we are doing with our members and our wider community. For me, I feel like I am on a conveyor belt/roller coaster of sorts given the busy nature of the rotary program. I am grateful that our members have joined me and the executive team on this journey whole heartedly and as a result, we are delivering what we set out to do in our action plan.

Our first KNN for the Rotary year 2025/26 is out! Hooray! How excited I am, that we get to yet again document or share what we are doing with our members and our wider community. For me, I feel like I am on a conveyor belt/roller coaster of sorts given the busy nature of the rotary program. I am grateful that our members have joined me and the executive team on this journey whole heartedly and as a result, we are delivering what we set out to do in our action plan.
The pillar for service in the Rotary Club of Kampala North remains our members. You, our members, have done an amazing job already in many areas especially fellowship, service, giving and many others.
In terms of key milestones, the rotary year started in high gear with the official Governor’s visit on 28th July 2025. It was an amazing way to take stock of where we are, and what we intend to do as a club. It also gave our executive team and members an opportunity to interact with Governor Geoffrey Kitakule and hear his vision for this rotary year, from the horse’s mouth. It was a great experience with our member attendance at 85%! The charter night celebration on 18th August 2025, was innovative and did not disappoint especially with the celebratory video featuring some of our longest serving members and the singing competition amongst our rotaract clubs. We met, we chatted, we refreshed and spread joy as we celebrated the charter. Lastly, we also were happy to be honored for our collections for the Cancer run where we took 2nd place in District 9213. As a service oriented club, these are initiatives that are critical to us. I am therefore humbled, that the members rose up to the challenge and not only sold tickets to their family and friends but also brought on board corporate entities such as NSSF, UCAA, NITA Uganda, Ministry of Lands, Housing, & Urban Development, and FINCA Uganda to join the cause. We could not have achieved all these above milestones without our membership.
As the executive team, we reaffirm our commitment to serve diligently to ensure we achieve our intended objectives as a club. We have no doubt we shall succeed with the membership behind us. As I have said before, we are in this together. Let us continue to UNITE FOR GOOD.
