LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Local Scholarship Committee members help contact local high schools and work with the guidance counselors for nominees. The committee will select the winners and extend an invitation to the recipients, the school advisor and parents to attend the club meeting honoring them. Additionally, there is an ongoing process of conducting interviews of the scholarship students for continued compliance with the four-year scholarship requirements. The committee’s primary time commitment is in the spring of the year, with the recipients honored at Thursday lunch in April, May or June, depending upon the school district’s calendar.
