GRANTS
The Grants committee holds the responsibly of evaluating grant applications made by metro-serving nonprofits. The committee also makes a final recommendation to the Board of Directors. In most cases the Board approves the committee’s recommendations. The committee receives between 20 and 30 applications each year; currently $40,000 is made available each year for grants through the Rotary Club of Des Moines Foundation. The committee also reviews and makes recommendations for adjustments to the application process.
The Grants Committee members are board appointed.
