When we talk about "Service Above Self," Nick Reuter doesn't just embody the motto — he lives it thousands of miles from home, with a hammer in one hand and an open heart in the other.

This month, our Rotarian Spotlight shines on Nick, who recently shared the powerful story of his multiple mission trips to Jamaica and El Salvador — journeys that have shaped not only the communities he's served, but the man he's become.

Building More Than Structures

Across both countries, Nick rolled up his sleeves for hands-on construction projects — pouring foundations, raising walls, and helping create spaces where communities can gather, worship, and grow. But as Nick will tell you, the real construction happens in the relationships built along the way. Every nail driven and every block laid became a bridge between neighbors, cultures, and lifelong friends.

Sharing Hope Through Evangelism
