Group Study Exchange (GSE)

GSE Outbound

1969 - On December 29, 1969, an item in the Chariton Herald-Patriot stated that David Orwig, of rural Chariton, was chosen as an ambassador to Norway during the summer of 1969 under the group study plan of Rotary International.  That team of five business and professional men ages 25-35, with a Rotarian leader, was one of the first GSE groups from our district to travel under that program.

1994 - Jane Rau (Russell French teacher) team member to France

1998 - Lynn Johnson - team leader to Taiwan

1999 - Jill Kerns Naylor - team member to Japan

2003 - GSE Team from Columbia - hosted by Jeri & Kevin Reeve, David & Cindy Laing, Corliss & Jeanne Klaassen

2005 - GSE Team from Germany - hosted by Veronica & Andy Fuhs, Jeri & Kevin Reeve, Bob & Kay Ulrich, Byron Welch

2006 - Our club hosted a GSE team from the Philippines for one day.

2007 - GSE Team from India - hosted by Craig & Mary Scott, Bill & Barbara Shelton, Corliss & Jeanne Klaassen

2008 - GSE Team from Brazil - hosted by Craig & Mary Scott, Bill & Barbara Shelton, Jeri & Kevin Reeve
