Present: Bob, Jim, Aaron, John, Chris, Phil

  1. Treasurer report: Club account balance $22,773.95, Foundation account balance $12,283.31. We discussed a member who has not been attending and not responding to us. Will send one last notice with a May 1 deadline.
  2. New Opportunity made a request for their Health and Safety Fair. We already participate with our Bouncy House and make donations for school and Christmas and so declined. Motion by Adam, second by Bob all vote yes.
  3. Grant training attended by Jim and Tom. This would allow us to put in an application this year. We can put in for helmets and dictionaries every five years and it has been over 5. We agreed to put in for them (cost about $2,000) this year. Jim and Tom will prepare the application.
  4. A letter for the Library Project was prepared. Motion by John, second by Bob the club agreed to send in the letter. This is in support of their application for funding from the state. All vote yes.
  5. TOAST event for Saturday was discussed. Bob, Tom and Phil will act as greeters starting at 10:30. Set up starts at 10:00 Bob will be there for that. We have 4 items to raffle and a table to set up. Chris is working on that, the items for the raffle have been purchased. 12 members have paid to attend.
  6. Card Tournament is 4/21 at the Country Club. We will need 3 volunteers for about an hour at 11:30 to register players. Motion by Bob second by Adam to fund up to $200 in advertising.
  7. Planning for the Veteran event which will be held 11/9 starts in June. We are attempting to arrange for a major speaker hoping to attract 500 people. Phil will contact the Winery to reserve that night. Also he will ask about using a different caterer (because of a donation from them). If we do get a major speaker we may want to shift to a larger location, we discussed the Breda Legion which can hold 500+ people. If you want to be part of this planning committee contact Chris.

Adjourn at 7:30, Submitted by Phil Phillips, Secretary
