8/31/26 Meeting Minutes
Attendees: Catti, Chris, Adam, Aaron J., Casey, Ron, Lynn, Bob W., Dave, Hubert, Bob F., Kim, Stephen
Guests: Nick and Sharon O’Leary from England – friends of Ron
 
Brag Bucks:
Bob F. – 51 years of wedding anniversary
Aaron – 11-year wedding anniversary
Adam – Bruni Cup (Breda golf club won) vs Carroll Muni
Lynn – has welcomed another great-granddaughter
 
Club  Business:
  1. Starting to receive funds from the letter that Adam sent out.
  2. October 10th Fun Days:
  1. Rotary sponsoring 12-5 PM Bingo – somebody else will be running it; just need our gambling license to run it; looking for volunteers to monitor the inflatables
Speaker: Casey Berlaus – Carroll Community School
Adams Elementary – oldest building; serves grades 3 & 4 and administrative offices; goal is to retire the building
 
High School – Add onto the high school to make room so that grades 7 & 8 can move to the North of the High School; 7&8 grades would have their own entrance; would be connected to HS; staff can be shared with HS; MS kids would have better access to career and tech programs; addition would add AG program to space; gym (must have for PE), science room updates
 
Middle School – Intermediate school (3-6); would need some renovations to accommodate new grades; need a playground
 
Total cost: $63.7 million; creates a $2.70 levy
 
Will be a question on the November 3rd ballot to vote yes or no.
 
Trying to accomplish 4 things:
  1. Retire Adams Elementary
  2. Improve long range financial efficiencies:
  3. Create modern learning environments
  4. Expand educational opportunities
 
No meeting next Monday due to the Labor Day Holiday.
