Carroll Rotary Meeting Minutes 8/22/22
 
Attendees: Adam, Catti, Chris, Phil, Bob F., Hubert, John, Ron, Mike, Ann, Rich
 
Brag Bucks:
  • Phil – 51 years ago today crossed the International Divide for the first time
    • 74th birthday is next week
  • Rich – celebrated 55-year class reunion
  • Adam – celebrated 25-year class reunion
    • CADG and Chamber of Commerce toured Coon Rapids and Manning last Thursday to see progress of their Main Street Iowa developments.
    • Steve and Adam are going to work on a project through the Chamber that we could potentially get involved with regarding mental health in our community. More to come as it develops.
New Business:
  1. Program Director: Phil Phillips
    1. Hubert is going to work on getting ISU President and IA Corn to come speak with us.
  2. Auction:
    1. Letter/Flier has been printed, stuffed in envelops and are ready to be mailed (THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP)
    2. Start working on gathering auction items
      1. we would like to have all items by 9/30/22
      2. items can be given to Catti for storing until auction day
  3. Uptown Sporting Goods
    1. Chris went last week, and they donated 2 large boxes of children’s clothes to us to use.
  4. Lucky Duck sales
    1. Catti gathered children’s boots, shoes and toys to use as we see fit.
 
NEXT WEEK IS A SERVICE MEETING. WE WILL BE CLEANING UP THE ROAD DITCHES. MEET IN THE BOMGAARS EAST PARKING LOT AT 5 PM. BRING YOUR GLOVES AND WEAR COVERED SHOES AND LONG PANTS.
