Carroll Rotary Meeting Minutes 6/10/24

  • Ron: 59th wedding anniversary next week
New Business:
  1. RSVP Golf Outing on 8/16
  • John, Chris, Catti and Adam will represent Rotary again this year.
  • Motion by Adam to donate $260.
  • 2nd by Chris
  • Pass
  1. New Hope has asked for $3K donation for equipment upgrade.
  • John to look to see when we donated last and how much.
  • We will vote on this next meeting.
Speakers: Carolyn Seimann and Vicki Gach with Historical Society on Bandshell Project
  • Band shell has been a part of Carroll for over 70 years.
  • Located in Graham Park
  • 60 people helped construct the original band shell.
  • $2500 built the band shell when constructed.
  • The base of the band shell is recycled brick.
  • The dome is concrete over a steel arch from a bridge near Manning.

Next meeting is Monday, June 17th with John Perrin providing us with an update on the Carroll Merchants.
