Carroll Rotary Club Meeting Minutes 5/13/24

Trevor’s grandma just turned 80.
Adam visited with his 8th grade teacher last weekend while campaigning for County Supervisor – she had nothing but good things to say of him, of course. :)
Deb is going to Las Vegas tomorrow (5/14/24). JCPenny building is coming along great with July 15th tentative move in date for Fusion Dance.
A lot of events coming up for downtown Carroll with Live and Local and Carroll Merchants games starting.

Majority of the students had a job while they attended high school.
All students are graduating with DMACC credits that will transfer to college.
Advice for underclassmen:
- Start off strong and keep going.
- Get involved early.
- Take honors classes and take advantage of DMACC free classes.
- Think about your career early.
- Learn time management.
- Stay on top of your homework.
- Enjoy high school so you don’t have regrets later in life.
What are you most nervous about?
- Independence
- Finding groups to join and hard classes.
- Choosing the wrong major.
- Providing for the public’s needs.
- Start slacking off because nobody is telling what to do and when to do it.
- New experiences.
- Change of scenery.
