LaVerne’s updates: 65 or older and don’t have loan on home and you don’t have to pay property taxes again; detrimental to small towns; estate will have to pay the taxes missed after die; they have 10 days remaining in session
Carroll is 6th from lowest in property taxes paid for State of Iowa
Our goal is to keep the property taxes low.
The consensus after this presentation is that anyone over 65 wants to pay their property taxes to keep services that the city offers.
If you don’t like what is going on – get ahold of your legislator.

Next meeting: 4/13/26 from 12-1 PM at Piranha Club with Jean Voege with the Wall that Heals presentation.
