Announcements:
1. Please use the Piranha Club entrance from now on for our Rotary meetings.
a. No more parking in the front by The Hub entrance.
2. Super Bowl board is SOLD OUT!
3. Guest bartender event – Piranha Club would be interested in having us.
4. Adam is working on lining up speakers.
5. Thank You’s from Emma Hoffman, Brynn Bowman and Baylie Schulte – scholarship winners

Speaker: Barb Meister – Go Serve Global
- 5 years – started right after derecho
- Plans to retire in Liberia as “Grandma Barb”
- Nonprofit disaster relief organization that started after hurricane in Haiti
- Grain bin shaped safety homes that can be constructed in half a day.
o Bottom 4 inches are concrete that seals it, keeps it weighted and keeps insects out of it.
o Stands up to 145 MPH winds for up to 16 hours
o 18 ft wide, 16 ft tall
o Over 600 of these homes in Haiti; 700 of these homes worldwide
o Homes are given to people free of charge.
o Ministries in: Haiti, Guatemala, Africa, Peru, US
o Everything that is donated to Go Serve Global is given back 100%
- Domestic side (2-person team)
o Staff is self-supported. Go around and ask for people to donate to them to work.
o Ready at any moment to go out and help with any disaster.
o Work on volunteers after disaster occurs.
Stay in the campers, eat breakfast and dinner as a “family” that is prepared by Barb and Dennis
o Everything that is taken apart is done peacefully, it isn’t just destroyed or demolished.
o Move in and become part of the community.
