- Aaron J. – 46th birthday on 2/23/25
- Adam – awarded Citizen of the Year award on last Thursday from the Chamber banquet
- Bob F. – ISU on a winning streak; a bunch of people donated their winnings back from the super bowl squares
- Lynn – great grandfather to 11th great grandchild

- Trip to Japan in November: Taipei (city of Taiwan), Tokyo, Osaka: with 15-20 with Iowa agriculture groups
- Products from Iowa are sold on street markets daily.
- Food is soup-based and served in small portions.
- A lot of eggs were served.
- Labeling on food is very strict over there.
- Food is packaged very differently over there to show the amount of fat and the kind of cut.
- Slaughtering is done mostly by hand, so they slaughter approximately 1,000 per day.
- Aaron loved that the first thing that he got when he sat down to order was a warm, damp washcloth to wash his hands/face.
- Everyone loves Iowa products.
- Cost of living was cheap: cheeseburger was $2; beer was $1; pop was $0.88.
- Aaron became fond of bidet toilets. He is now bored in his bathroom at home. 😊
- Most people eat out all the time over there because everything is so affordable.
- Japan buys the higher premium cuts of meat, and they use 100% of the pig.
