Carroll Rotary Meeting Minutes
Meeting called to action by Adam at 12:13 PM at Family Table Restaurant.
 
Attendees: Catti, Hubert, John, Bob F., Adam, Ann, Doc Martin, Ron
 
Agenda items:
  1. Update on Speakers:
    1. Please see calendar on website for speakers currently lined up.
    2. 2/21 will be with DMACC at the new addition to the school
      1. Joel is going to have Napoli’s cater
      2. RSVP will be sent out week before so that we can let them know how many
      3. Time remains the same 12-1pm
    3. Still waiting to hear from Mike McAughlin, IA Corn and Kimberly Tiefenthaler
    4. Aaron we talked IA Pork Producers – can you line up?
    5. Does anyone know an economist that we could have come talk?
    6. Hubert is going to work on the following people: Aaron Hudson, ISU speakers, Kurt Leads with soybean association, Aaron Putsy, Chad Hart (Banking industry), IA Corn Growers association
  2. Doc Martin provided us with a little bit of a history lesson on critical race theory and the conversations happening around it in schools right now.
  3. Memberships:
    1. Reach out to Leadership classes that are taking place right now to see if we can recruit members (Catti)
    2. Pull list of members that we already have to see what industries we are missing and reach out to those industries for members (Catti)
  4. No meeting on 1/31 since we don’t have a speaker lined up and do a social event on 2/3 at Kerp’s at 5pm instead. Thoughts?
  5. PET’s training:
    1. Adam is attending on our behalf
    2. 4 sessions – Adam will keep us updated on pertinent information
  6. 100th Celebration:
    1. Doc Martin talking with All Strings Attached to perform 5:30-6:30pm
    2. Cake – Catti has reserved Sweets by Jannelle to make
      1. Need to know flavor and size
      2. Who is going to serve?
      3. Would we rather do cupcakes?
    3. GC for Mary – what kind and for how much?
    4. Invites – we need to finalize invitation list
    5. Lidderdale is going to cater
      1. Need to decide on menu
      2. Let them know how many to expect
