"“Our Environment and Climate Change”

Our beautiful planet is facing what the United Nations calls the triple planetary crisis: climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss. Alexandra Vo is the UN Liaison for FAWCO, an international women's organization, and she will summarize these environmental challenges. She will explain the global issues through the lens of the annual climate change conference (COP) where over 100 heads-of-state, including President Biden, attended last November. You'll get a glimpse of what happens behind-the-scenes as well. You'll come away better informed to converse with your friends and family about the state of our planet.

Alexandra received a BA in Philosophy from Yale University and is a member of the Larchmont Rotary Club. She attends the annual UN Commission on the Status of Women and the UN Climate Change Conferences to advocate for environmental and human rights. She was a Vietnamese refugee who came to the US at the age of 6. Before moving to New York, she lived in the Boston area. She has lived in Paris and is fluent in French.
