Rotary Oakville Trafalgar Committees

General Description

Club Service Committee
We work to strengthen fellowship of members through training and hospitality. Clubs have serious topics to work toward, so having various social events that bring members and their guests together informally and for fun, contributes to genuine fellowship.

Communications Committee
The role of the Communications Committee is to promote Rotary awareness within Oakville and beyond, facilitate communication within our club and to other Rotary Clubs and to develop and maintain tools and processes to accomplish this mandate.

Community Service Committee
The committee is exactly what the name implies — projects and activities the club undertakes to improve community life.

Environment Committee
Environmental Committee educates and inspires action around environmental sustainability and climate change. Click Here for more details

Fundraising Committee
Effective fundraising is vital to make our support a reality for the people and organizations in need.  We are proud of our long-running events like the RibFest, and Online Auction.  We also raise funds by participating in Bingo and collecting bottles. We are always looking to find new effective activities.

Indigenous Committee
The Indigenous Committee of the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar, in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Oakville, provides the Rotary Indigenous Bursary Fund to support up to three indigenous students per year studying full-time at Laurentian University. Click Here for more details.

International Service Committee
We work to expand the Rotarians’ humanitarian work around the world. This important service promotes understanding and peace, sponsors projects in other countries and works with international partners to support projects in their communities.

Membership Committee
The role of the membership committee is to develop and implement action plans to attract, retain and develop club members.

Youth Service Committee
The role of the Youth Service committee is to provide programs and resources related to the educational and leadership development of youth and young adults.
