SUNSHINE COMMITTEE
The Sunshine Committee was restarted a number of months ago and is currently managed by Vanda and Ray. The Sunshine Committee reaches out to members who have not been seen at several meetings for whatever reason. We have a few members who are recovering from various medical concerns. We also have some members who are 'away' for some periods of time, including business and vacation trips.
Maintaining communication with our members is very important.
When the sunshine committee becomes aware of an absence or illness they will reach out to the affected member(s). To this end your committee (Vanda or Ray) asks that you inform them if you will be away for several weeks. As well if you have a serious illness, or become aware of a member who has fallen ill, please let Vanda or Ray know so that they can follow up. Additionally if you are curious as to the whereabouts or the condition of a member please speak with Vanda or Ray.
How can you contact Vanda or Ray? Their phone numbers and email addresses are available in the Member Directory which is accessible through the sign-on section of our web site.
Materials are now available for distribution. Speak with Jeff Parker.
CLUB AWARENESS TENT (repeated from April 6)
Raj Phalpher announced that Bob Gardner will be coordinating a Club Awareness Tentat Ribfest.
The purpose of the tent will be to highlight the work our club does in our community and internationally in a bid to provide greater awareness in our community. We want to promote participation in our club activities and eventual membership in our club.
One of the avenues to membership can come from initially participating in one or more of our rotary events. We have many examples of folks who want to be active with what we do but may not be ready to become members or bne able to attend weekly lunches.
Friends of Rotary are resources who want to give back to the community and we should encourage their involvement.
Please contact Bob if you would like to assist with this membership growth initiative.
A great Rotary event - the District Assembly and Club Leadership Training is ready for you. If you have already registered, thank you, you are in for a great day.
