  • Rotary District Conference, at the Marriott in Nashua. Chris P has an extra ticket for someone who has registered, not yet paid, or someone who wants to go.
  • Amigos de Honduras: might just be the last trip, February 9-17. Let Chris P know if you would like to go.
  • Tom and Jerry’s Christmas Tree Show: sign up list is being circulated. Trees are due the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Wreaths have been ordered.
  • Tom Ives mentioned that the Baker Free Library is offering its Wreath Auction again this year, supplemented by Betsy’s very tasty appetizers and wine and beer.

Happy Bucks:    
  • Sandy Eldredge: happy bucks for Betsey Patten’s plumbing skills, as well as an in-kind donation of two sink filters for the Town of Bow.
  • Judy Goodnow: for spending time next week with her granddaughter.
  • Alan K: happiest days of a boat owner’s life: this one is the sale date, since his boat sold earlier this week.
  • Jeannie Richards: Pennies for Polio effort by the Early-Act group netted $1,700 in two weeks! To be matched by the Club.
  • Chris Parkinson: visited with a friend who had triple by-pass.
  • Jon Ruggles: can’t check the batteries in a smoke detector, they need to be REPLACED. If you are unable to do it, let him know and he will help.
  • Mike Griffin: Springsteen fans eat your hearts out. Mike and spouse attended a recent concert, “Bruce on Broadway”, which was awesome.
  • Tom Wilson: happy that his nephew was discovered after biking in the woods. Recovering well.
  • Dave Gazaway: guests Wendy and Megan: challenged Club members for Booster Club ticket purchase. Reduced the free range deer herd in his yard. And son Dylan is now taller than his dad.
  • Karen Wadsworth: remembered when Dylan sat on her lap; many comments ensued.
  • Wendy Gazaway and Megan Rheinhardt: presentation on behalf of Bow Booster Athletic Club. The Booster Club supports all sports in the Bow schools: equipment, fields, etc. Megan is this year’s Chair. Their current project is new bleachers; these will be raised, with a handicap accessible ramp. Target for fund-raising is $50,000. To reach that, they are selling 300 raffle tickets at $100 each. Tickets have a wide sales area: football and other sports events, ski & skate sale, craft fair, etc.

Today’s program was Auction items needing a new home. Auction was conducted by Gerry Carrier.
  1. Shot gun cleaning kit: $11, to Chuck Rheinhardt
  2. Concord Comfort Inn 1 year pool membership: $75 to Ben Kiniry
  3. Incredibrew gift certificate: $65 to Tom Ives
  4. Mail campaign: $100 to Harry Judd
  5. Painting by Georgette Daugherty: $50 from the Club, representing a donation to the District Conference as an item for the conference to raffle.
  6. Underbed box for truck: $70 to Gerry Carrier.
Peter Imse noted that the painting was donated by Isabel Sinclair, who had purchased it at a previous Auction. Isabel was at the recent Auction, and is doing well. She is moving to a retirement community.
There was applause for the return of Bob Couch, making his inaugural appearance for this Rotary year.
