  • Donations for Tom & Ceil Wilson tally now up to $1,015! They have a place to stay for the summer as well!
  • We lost Harry Judd from the club earlier in the year as a member. Robert Louf has resigned for June 30th. Both have been offered and accepted Honorary Membership! Linda Lorden will also be stepping down June 30th.
Sergeant at Arms:
Happy Bucks:
  • Bryant’s Birthday was on the 12th. He’s 51! He joined a golf league, had some surgery during Covid which was interesting, and enjoyed working on the Old  Town Hall project.
  • David Scanlan’s Birthday was June 16th (Flag Day). Interesting year pulling off the Presidential Election duties, daughter Nora is doing great, he and wife are heading to Acadia, son Patrick is working in the White Mountain National Forest  this summer.
  • PDG Chris is having his last birthday in the 60s. He had a knee replacement, quarantined at the lake, lots of family time at the lake (socially distanced), and doing a lot for the District. Family is doing great. Retirement is going well. February trip happened in May, but was great. More trips to come! Chris just turned himself in for the CS ONE logo again.
  • Judy’s cat Moose joined the meeting. (Poppy was there in pupson at the beginning of the meeting).
  • Chuck had happy bucks for his Grandson’s achievements.
  • Donna gave a happy $5 for visit to see Starsea in MN!
  • Bob C was happy for hydro seeding of the lawn.
  • Steve D was happy for a concert with Doug Fleuty’s band.
  • Joya for her son’s Graduation and surprising him with family.
  • Ben had several for people in the club stepping up for the coming year; lunch with Eric A recently; and he’s doing a triathlon in Maine. Happy $10
  • Karen happy to see Poppy.
  • Happy buck from Poppy to be able to see everyone.
  • Eric Anderson gave a happy buck to be meeting live again; and they were able to travel to Vermont in the motor home.
Program:
Today was Club Assembly. The various Board members gave the following updates to the entire club membership:

Secretary’s Report:
  • 86.9%, 42 Active members, collecting dues – please get those in ASAP.
Treasurer’s Report:
  • Breakfast activity. $16k in club at end of May; $45k in Foundation. $22,500 for scholarships and camperships, which will be paid in December. Just paid $1,500 for a campership. Most activity in Foundation is related to the car show right now.
Sargent’s Report:
  • Reminders were emailed, please get your $ in by next Friday.
Club Service:
  • 1st Summer concert series concert is a week from Sunday. July date is still TBD. August 6th should be a fun one.
International:
  • Ben giving an update on a Global Grant on Human Trafficking. Asked club to join him in helping with and supporting this effort. Gerry mentioned a Go-Fund-Me page; Dean mentioned kid’s Senior projects as a potential and that even in Bow hygiene products for young ladies are an issue.
New Generations:
  • Clubs are on recess now, but had a great year. Early Act has a new advisor.
Community Service:
  • Car Show: 18 pre-registered; 15 more likely; lots of the sponsor money is in; please let Gerry know if you are available that day – he really needs to know for planning purposes; committee meeting likely next week (sure, Gerry – lol); and Trophies are a $100 sponsorship so feel free to do that.
  • Concerts: please sponsor those as well, if you are able.
  • Books for speakers go to Bow Elementary, Baker Free Library or Dunbarton Elementary.
  • Please get your happy bucks in asap also so we can square things away for end of year.
Linda Bliss has the July 16th speaker, she’s looking for ideas/help.

Respectfully Submitted,
Donna Deos
