Announcements:
- Matt Gatzke: 2 items to discuss:
- 1). Board decided to streamline/right size BOD. Twelve member board to be reduced to ten with two avenues of service being reassigned. Still allows for bringing new blood onto the board.
- 2). Ben Kiniry (incoming president) announced the proposed slate of upcoming Board members (effective July 1 if approved):

- Matt Dodge: Vice President
- Gerry Carrier: Secretary
- Paul Mercer: Treasurer
- Michelle Olivier, Joya Dennehy, Jeanne Richards, Gerry Carrier continuing on as Club Directors

- Motion was made to move slate of names as presented: Motion passed unanimously
- Motion taken to close administrative portion of the meeting: motion passed
- Club Executives:
- 4 way speech contest (Rick Minard): March 2 contest to be held by zoom. Link/info coming soon
- Judy Goodnow: Met w/ Heritage commission to pick out new wallpaper pattern for old town hall. Made in England, it should arrive within the next few weeks
- Jeanne Richards: EarlyAct/Interact starting to think about fundraising options. Both clubs are active and are thinking of perhaps joining forces. Monies not spent last year were donated: $300 to pure water/$500 to St. Jude’s
- Dick Swett: Interact update: Interact students joining the EarlyAct meetings
- Mike Griffin: Scholarship committee met to begin outreach. Deadline for entries still a few months out: not until April 30

Sergeant at Arms: Joya Dennehy
Happy Bucks:
- Dick Swett: happy $5; was at inauguration; shared his thoughts on the historic event plus the comparison to Ron Chernow’s “Alexander Hamilton”
- Betsey Patten: happy $10 – now settled in new home – unfortunately had to put cat down – pleased to still be a part of Rotary.
- Gerry Carrier: reminded club members of the existing club rule surrounding refrain from discussing politics.
- Peter Imse: Son-in-law/daughter had an experience with a moving company that doubled as a locksmith
- Matt Gatzke: happy $5 for the Rotary related stories speckled throughout the January edition of the Bow Times (plus the pictures of members that appear in various ads – hint hint)
- Ben Kiniry: happy $3 for advice/direction from 3 members regarding Ben’s upcoming duties
Program: Club Assembly
During Club Assembly reports are given from the various Directors and Avenues of Service.
Paul Mercier (Treasurer report): second half dues paid; 17K+ in club account; foundation $51K+ balance with some restricted for camperships. Recent income: $5445 net raised from Christmas tree sales; $14122 net from fall auction.
Gerry Carrier (Secretary report): Club membership at 51 members/46 active; attendance over 90% last week; all dues have been paid.
Joya Dennehy (Sergeant At Arms report): Reminder to club members to pay outstanding happy buck balances
Avenues of service:
- Joya Dennehy - Club Service; nothing this month
- No vocational update
- Matt Dodge - International; district hosting global grant fair postponed for now
- Jeanne Richards - New Generations; update already provided during announcements
- Gerry Carrier – Community Service; Christmas tree success + auction success. With donation from last year for the auction, the total for this year approaches $24K raised; car show tentatively scheduled for May – talks in progress on logistics should Covid still be a primary concern/issue
Matt Gatzke closed the meeting with a reminder of the 4-Way test:
- Is it the truth?
- Is it fair to all concerned?
- Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
