Program: Paul Mercier introduced our own Bill Ames
Bill presented a slide show of pictures and a narrative of his trip on an Ice Breaker ship north of the Artic Circle. It was an 11 day trip with 16 others on board. At one point, they had a Blue Whale join alongside them for a bit. They were able to stop for some short land excursions and he had some fantastic pictures of the trip. He gave us a run down of where they stopped and daily life on the ship including a 2:00 AM Polar Plunge. NO he did not participate. They were able to see/spot lots of wildlife such as Polar Bears, Walrus, Harp Seals, Penguins, Puffin & Arctic Fox in their natural habitat. He had some great pictures of Ice, Land and the Wildlife! A trip of a lifetime and one not to be forgotten.
Respectfully Submitted,
Michael Fortier
