Russell Mowles
It is with great pleasure that I accept the role of President for 2023-2024 and look forward to implementing the Rotary International theme of ‘Creating Hope in the World’ in our community. I would like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing President Wayne Hosier for his excellent leadership over the last 12 months and also to thank all members of the club for a very successful year focusing on supporting the Ormeau Pimpama district.
We continue our drive towards the ongoing PCYC project which from all reports is being supported by all levels of government and I am optimistic that we will see a culmination in the short term rather than the long term.
The club will continue to support the successful Golf Day and Santa Run from previous years along with the Teddy Bears Picnic held for the first time earlier in May, which was a great event and will also be ongoing. I am excited for the club to be involved with the Youth Support group E_Suarve in their endeavours to assist disengaged youth as our project to provide a bus to this wonderful organisation comes to fruition. There are a number of other projects planned for the next 12 months.
Your leadership team and club members are passionate and committed to the cause and I invite everyone in the neighborhood to our events, business and dinner meetings and see if or where you would like to contribute to the development and well-being of this community.

A new PCYC for Pimpama is another step closer.
The Rotary club of Ormeau-Pimpama has supported this since its formation. Such a great outcome.
Another successful Santa run to finish the year for 2023.
