ROTARY YEAR 2007-2008
"ROTARY SHARES"
The Rotary International Theme for the Rotary year 2007-2008 is:
"Rotary Shares".
What does this mean?
Internationally, district wise, regionally, locally⿦. There are many levels on which you could analyze this theme. For the purpose of this message I would like to focus on the local level, namely our club level.
"Sunrise Rotary Shares"
We really do.
We share our early Tuesday mornings.
We share a willingness to learn from each other and others.
We share friendship and fun and most importantly:
We share the desire to make a positive impact on our community by means of service projects.
On our website you will read about some of the accomplishments of our club for which I commend all the members and the leadership of Immediate Past President Cookie Bijlani.
All and every member should be proud of his/her part in making it happen, large or small. Some put in sweat equity, some the necessary funds and some their administrative skills, or all of the above.
At the end of the day it all comes together and produces the success we all strive for.
For the New Rotary year it is my wish that we continue to Share to the best of our abilities:
Because when Sunrise Rotary Members share, it shows we really care about our Island, our Region and our World.
Yours in Rotary
