NEW YEAR'S PARTY

On Saturday January 19th, 2008, our club got together at The Bridge Restaurant just before the bridge to Sandy Ground to celebrate the NEW YEAR. We enjoyed each other's company, a good glass of fruit punch or wine or baileys or.....! We had a very nice dinner together and to top it off we played a game of "Don't say "I". Keturah was the winner of the evening. There is some dispute about the tricks used, but nobody has gone to the courts as yet...!! A fundraiser was held in the form of raffle tickets sold for 2 dollars a piece. Claret did not sell you less then 10 tickets. At the very end the winner was drawn by Shania. Shirley Haddocks (our treasurer's wife) won 50% of the pot. Our congratulations go out to Shirley! A thank you go out to the ticket master, Mr. Claret, for selling so many tickets and to the participants for buying so many tickets. A special thanks goes out to Peter Dialani, Irma Gumbs and Keturah de Weever for their involvement with the organization of the evening. It was a great success.
