Lighting The Way To Literacy

Rotary's storm of support swept across Primary Schools in the British Virgin Islands as Hurricane Gonzalo threatened on Monday, October 13. Clubs distributed free Oxford dictionaries to primary schools across the Territory just ahead of the storm that eventually spared the BVI.

At the Althea Scatliffe Primary, club members joined other members of the Rotary Family in the BVI for the official ceremony. Minister of Education and Culture, Hon. Myron Walwyn congratulated the Rotary Clubs of the BVI for their continued support of education.

Each year the BVI family of Rotary distributes dictionaries to all class three students territory wide.
