Literacy Day 2014

Encouraging Young Minds

In recognition of International Literacy Day, the Rotary Club of Road Town along with community partners, NAGICO Insurances and the Ministry of Education and Culture presented books to students of the Enis Adams Primary School.

The presentation took place on Thursday, September 11 during a ceremony at the school. Remarks were delivered by ADG Delma Maduro, President Shan Mohamed, Minister of Education and Culture Hon. Myron V. Walwyn, and Ms. Ayana Hull.

The Rotary Club of Road Town, (together with Rotary  Sunrise and the Rotary Club of Tortola) will also be distributing dictionaries to class three students territory wide in the coming month.  International Literacy Day is observed on September 8.
