Joint Coastal Clean-up Project during International Coastal Clean-up Month

In recognition of International Coastal Clean-up Month, members of the Interact Club of Road Town, and the Rotary Club of Road Town joined forces this past weekend to participate in the coastal cleanup campaign organized by the Conservation and Fisheries Department.

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept 24th, the clean-up crew started in the vicinity of the cruise ship pier moving west to finish behind the Craft Alive Village.
Many bags of plastic water bottles, aluminum cans, glass bottles, Styrofoam containers, plastic bags, plastic cups, plastic forlks and spoons, plastic drinking straws, bottle caps and rubber slippers were among the items collected and recorded.
