Interact Club of Road Town Donates Three Benches to Anegada School

On Monday 5^th March, 2012  on the holiday to commemorate and celebrate the life, service and vision of the  Late Hon. HL Stoutt,  the Interact Club of Road Town under the leadership of President Shereen King made a vision they had for the Claudia Creque Learning Centre into reality.

President Shereen King along with other members of the Interact club of Road Town  (Xahanae Barry, Danielle Ward, Tyler Henry, and Kadiann Johnson) with the assistance of members of the Rotary Club of Road Town and a member of the Earlyact Club (Raheem Johnson) transported and assembled three benches for the Claudia Creque Learning Centre in Anegada.  The principal of the school Mrs. Vanterpool was extremely grateful for the group’s generous offer.  Mrs Vanterpool stated that the school was in dire need of the benches and herself and her staff were discussing ways on how to raise the necessary funding to purchase the benches when they received notice from President Shereen saying that they wished to donate three benches to the school.  Mrs. Vanterpool has confirmed that the benches would be put to full use including serving as a place for students to enjoy lunch, and to provide an additional classroom, as sometimes there would be two classes taught in one classroom.  Mrs. Vanterpool accepted the benches on the behalf of the school after the club completed assembling them.

The Interacters decided that a fourth bench was necessary and have decided to donate a fourth bench to the school in the near future.

The Interact Club of Road Town wish to thank the Rotary Club of Road Town, Ms. Lorraine Wheatley, Mr. Keith Smith, The Anegada Reef Hotel, Mr. Jerry Vanterpool, the LobLolly Restaurant, Sgt. Terry Brown of the RVIPF, Mr. Bobby Hodge, and the Road Town Fast Ferry.
