Doneisha Maduro Findlay, the first runner-up at the 2014 Miss BVI Pageant addressed our club meeting on September 10. She spoke about overcoming challenges, achieving her goal of living a healthy lifestyle and her plans to help the community.  Miss Maduro gave an inspiring account of how preparing for and participating in the pageant impacted her life.

Her mission now is to educate other young people on the benefits of healthy living.  An essential component of this is maintaining a healthy weight by monitoring one's eating habits and regular exercise.

Miss Maduro studied cosmetology at the Vidal Sasson Academy and is proprietor of her own beauty saloon.  She also teaches cosmetology at the V.I. Technical School and is a Zumba instructor at the Save the Seed Recreational Center.
