A Winning Celebration

The Members of the Rotary Club of Road Town joined with the BVI Family of Rotary and had great fun lighting up the parade route at the BVI's 60th Festival Celebration of Emancipation on Monday 4 August 2014.

Led by Rotarian Ixora of the Tortola Club, members danced their way up Waterfront Drive with an impromptu and well choreographed routine that caught the favourable attention of the judges. The entry was aided by the addition of royalty as many of the past Festival Queens graced the Rotary float, greeting spectators with smiles and waves.

And if having a great time was not reward enough, the BVI Family of Rotary's Floupe (Float and Troupe combination) was awarded 2nd place in its category by the judges.  Bringing to rest an excellent effort and many tired feet.
