Days for Girls

Days for Girls Australia is a registered Australian not for profit and a Country Affiliate of Days for Girls International.

Days for Girls partners with Rotary clubs worldwide to distribute sustainable feminine hygiene kits and provide vital health information for women and girls around the world.

Days for Girls Redcliffe partners with the Rotary Club of Redcliffe Sunrise.

Rotarian Rhonda Brodie is the Days for Girls Redcliffe coordinator.

Days for Girls Redcliffe had their first official sewing day at Rhonda's place on 27 March 2016. " Many thanks to all who joined to make this a successful day."

Local volunteers now meet at the Salvation Army Hall, Ashmole Road, Redcliffe between 10am and 2pm on the 4th Wednesday of each month.

The busy volunteers utilise their time together to trace patterns, cut and iron fabric, insert absorbent liners into gusset shields, then sew and overlock items ready for packing. Kits also include moisture proof carry pouch and a face washer with soap.

Each month Days for Girls Australia commits over 1,000 kits to Australia-wide distribution through its partner Good360 i.e., 25% of its kit production.

Good360 accepts donated goods and offers them to Australian charities and schools for free through their website.

Two hundred kits are distributed in Queensland.
