Vertigo - dizziness, a sense of reeling; a 1958 American psychological thriller film by Alfred Hitchcock;the opening track and first single from U2's 2004 album; the name of a theatrical company in Flint, MI.  Hmmm...never knew the name was so popular but it's obviously made an impact for Ted Valley, Actor, Producer and Director of Vertigo Theatrics (Flint & Genesee County's "Premiere Choice for Dinner Theatre and Live Entertainment"), our speaker at last week's meeting.

In 1997 the dinner theatre opened at the Masonic Temple in downtown Flint.  Over the years the productions have included musicals, mysteries and comedy.  The 2010-2011 season begins the week of September 10th with the production of "Working", a musical about everyday working Americans.  In December Vertigo presents "Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol", a story that takes several turns before giving us a glimpse of Marley's fate.

Vertigo Theatrics also does private productions for corporate events, holiday parties, etc.  They travel a large geographic area to do performances going from Detroit to Traverse City.  They also were the first group to introduce "Shakespeare in the Park" in conjunction with the City of Flint Parks and Recreation.

If you are looking for a great night out, or a fun addition to your corporate event, contact Vertigo Theatrics.  For more information on their upcoming season and schedule, go to www.vertigotheatrics.com. Thanks Chris "Doorknob" for introducing us to Vertigo Theatrics!
