District Governor Atkins Visits Sunrise!

District 6330 Governor Michael Atkins spoke to the Greater Flint Sunrise Rotary last week. During his more than 30 years of service, Mike has served 2 separate terms as club president of the Thornbury-Clarkston Rotary and has taken a leading role in many Rotary projects and programs, including the club's huge Haiti project in the early 80's. During his presentation, he urged Rotary Clubs to engage in activities that enhance both the FUN aspects and the FEEL-GOOD aspects of being a member of a club. His 2010-2011 challenge to District 6330 clubs is to encourage spirit inducing activities. Fellowship can be promoted through visiting other Rotarians or organizing social events. Share Rotary by inviting guests and the media. Recognize or honor members for achievements and accomplishments. He invited Sunrise Rotary to visit the District's web site and take his challenge to complete the steps to "Increase the Fun Factor." He also mentioned that we may want to brush up on the 4 Way Test! Rotary District 6330 is one of 528 Rotary Districts around the world and encompasses 60 Rotary clubs in Ontario and Michigan. There are 2,200 Rotarians in District 6330 and 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide!
