Erin Lamb of the CrimFit Youth Program shared information about the many ways this program is reaching out into youth of our community to educate and encourage them to adapt positive lifestyles.

Erin explained the PE-Nut (Physical Education and Nutrition Working Together) program, which is designed to teach low-income children the great benefits of a healthy lifestyle. The CrimFit Youth Physical Activity Program keeps kids connected to the Crim during the school year while making fitness a part of their everyday curriculum to enhance their overall well being. This program teaches students how fun and easy it is to be physically active, regardless of their interests. Students earn points for every physical activity they participate in during the day. From walking before school to playing basketball to marching in a band, all activities count toward being healthy and fit.

The entire family can benefit from the many programs provided through the Crim Foundation: CrimFit Mileage Clubs, Activity Clubs, Neighborhood Clubs, Teddy Bear Trot, Crim Kids Classic along with the PE-Nut program all support the mission of this wonderful organization, "Cultivating Fitness as a Community and Family Value."  And of course, the folks at the Crim are continually researching opportunities to enhance and expand their current programs.
